Terms and Conditions

By participating in the GP Batteries Power For Gold Contest (“Contest”), you (“Participant”) agreed to be bound by the following terms and conditions: –

1. Organizer and Eligibility
The Contest is organized by GP Battery Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd (“Organizer”) and is open to all Malaysian residents aged 18 and above (as of 15th June 2024), except for the employees of the Organizer, including its subsidiaries, their immediate family members, their business partners, affiliated companies, suppliers/distributors, promotion/ advertising/ public relations agencies and other parties involved in this Contest.

2. Contest Period
The contest starts on 15th June 2024, 00:00hr, and ends on 30th September 2024, 23:59hr (“Contest Period”).

3. How to Participate
a) Purchase RM 10 worth of any GP battery* product in one single receipt any participating outlets.

b) Kindly note that only POS (Point of Sales) printed receipts will be accepted. All hand-written or cash bill receipts will be not be accepted and deemed incomplete.

c) For online purchases only invoices from GP’s official stores in Lazada (https://bit.ly/gplazada) and Shopee (https://bit.ly/gpshopee) will be accepted.

d) Participant to scan QR code on POSM or message the WhatsApp number +6011 2146 0289.

e) Participants are to submit a clear copy of the receipt, their full name as per IC, their IC number, and email address.

f) Participant are required to answer the following question:
“Which of the sports event is happening in year 2024?”
(A) Thomas & Uber Cup 2024
(B) UEFA Euro Cup 2024
(C) XXXIII Olympics 2024
(D) All of the above
Submissions and/or any answer commented outside the WhatsApp number will not be entertained.
Note that selected winners will need to answer to additional question to be sent through WhatsApp. Winners and the prize to be won is to be decided by the top 39 ranking in the speed in reply with the accurate answer which corresponds with the total number of prizes to be given away

4. Winners and Prizes
There will be a total of 39 prizes to be won in this Contest. The Contest winners will be announced via GP Batteries Malaysia Facebook page by no later than the 15th October, 2024. The Organizer will not contact any participants or the selected winners directly before the official winners’ are determined for announcement to be made and published.

Criteria of Winners selection: –
a) Date of official purchase receipts must be within the contest period (i.e., receipts on and from 15th June, 2024 and 30th September, 2024).

b) Details of the receipts MUST be clear and readable especially the name of the outlet from which the batteries are purchased, the receipt number, and date and time of purchase.

c) Each receipt constitutes one entry, and contestants can have multiple entries in the contest throughout the duration stated but is entitled to win only one prize.

d) Original receipt must be kept as Proof of Purchases for verification purposes if the Participant is selected as the winner. The Organizer reserves the right to verify its authenticity before the announcement of the winners. Failure to do so will result in disqualification and forfeiture of prizes won.

e) Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any entry without prior notice if: – the same receipt is being submitted for different entries; entries that are incomplete, unreadable, late, and without proper Proof of Purchase or inadequate Proof of Purchase.

f) All qualified entries will be subjected to the following deciding process determined by the management including the criteria listed above.

Winner Selection Process
▪ Total qualifiers will be clusters of 9.
▪ The potential winner will then be picked by the nearest rounded-up number i.e.:

Example 1: If total submission is 450 -> 450 ÷ 9 = 50.
Therefore, every 50th submission will be the picked potential winner

Example 2: If total submission is 900 -> 900 ÷ 9 = 100.
Therefore, every 100th submission will be the picked potential winner

▪ Total number of identified potential winners will be more than total number of prizes to be given away
▪ In event that the total number of identified potential winners is less than the total prizes to be given in this contest, the same selection process will apply to the pool of not selected participants

Winner Deciding Process
▪ Selection from the Winner Selection Process will receive WhatsApp notification with a new question (disclosed only in this WhatsApp notification)
▪ This is an open-ended question with no selection of choices
▪ Recipients are reply with an accurately correct answer within 48 hours. Failure to respond within 48 hours will disqualify recipients automatically
▪ In event of a tie, a new question will be sent on WhatsApp to
those on the tie
▪ Winners and the prize to be won is to be decided by the top 39 ranking in the speed in reply with the accurate answer which corresponds with the total number of prizes to be given away Prizes:

1x Grand Prize : 5g 999.9 GP Gold Medal worth RM 2,500*
3x 2nd Prize : 3g 999.9 GP Gold Medal worth RM 1,400* each
5x 3rd Prize : 1g 999.9 GP Gold Medal worth RM 500* each
30x Special Prize : RM 20 Lazada Vouchers each
* Value is subject to market price

Winners will be notified via GP WhatsApp through the submission number to further verify the following details for processing of the prize won, which include:
– Full name
– IC number
– Contact details
– Mailing address
-Proof of purchase

If a response is not received within Seven (7) days from the announcement date, the prize will be forfeited. Upon details submission by the winner, prizes will be delivered to the submitted mailing address through registered mail/courier. The organizer will in no condition entertain any request for any other delivery options other than self-collection from Organizer’s office. The organizer will also in no condition demand or request for monetary payment or transactions of any sort. The prize is not redeemable for cash, not transferable, and will only be given to the winner who is able to satisfy all the requirements as set out in the Terms and Conditions.

5. The Organizer Rights
The Organizer will not entertain delivery to address that differs from the confirmation given and will not be responsible to any damages/loss in transition The Organizer makes no warranties or representations whatsoever with respect to the prizes and will not be responsible nor liable for any problems and/or damage thereto or arising therefrom. If the prize is unavailable for any reason whatsoever, the Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to replace the said prize with another of equal or lesser value without prior notice. The Organizer’s decision shall be final and binding. No correspondence shall be
entertained once the decision is final.

6. Liability
The Organizer will not be responsible or liable for:
Any problem, damage or loss of whatsoever nature to any Participant, or their authorized representatives resulting from their participation in the Contest. Any error (including error in notification of Contest winner), omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, Internet line failure, theft, destruction of, or unauthorized access to entries, PC suspended whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, viruses, bugs or other causes outside its control.

7. Disqualification
The Organizer reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify anyone deemed to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, to be acting in breach or potential breach of these Contest Terms and Conditions and/or the Organizer. 8. Disclaimer
The ‘Organizer’ receives and processes your personal data in accordance with our privacy policy and the PDPA when you provide personal data to this ‘Contest’. By participating in this Contest, Participants agree to all terms and conditions of participation and have given the Organizer the rights to :

a) Transfer personal information (including but not limited to, name, address, contact numbers, IC numbers) to the service provider(s) for the purposes of administering the Contest and contacting Participants, solely for this Contest only.
b) Sending information related to online promotions, contests, and events, and related to our marketing activities, unless you have indicated to us that you do not wish for us to process your personal data for such purposes;
c) Using information for marketing and statistical analysis for planning and demo-graphical use;
d) Complying with local law and regulatory requirements or to assist in law enforcement and investigations by relevant authorities;
e) Any other purposes related to our marketing activities.
f) ‘Organizer’ reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add to these Contest Terms and Conditions without prior notice at any time. ‘Participant’ agrees to be bound to any such changes.
